The Spektr is the fifth piece of the Mir Space Station. The Spektr was launched on May 20, 1995, and first attached too the Mir Space Station on June 1, 1995. The Spektr was attached to the station in it’s permanents spot on June 2, 1995. The Specktr was sent to space to observe the earth, and the atmosphere.
