The Kvant 2 was the third piece of the Mir Space Station. The Kvant 2 was launched on 11/26/89. It was attached on December 6, 1989, then reattached to another place on December 8, 1989. It improved the comfort of the station for the people living on/in it, by adding a shower, and a way to get water. The Kvant 2 was also sent into space so there is somewhere for people to conduct expirements.
